The Initiated Soul, The Awakened Self
An Intensive Workshop with Mythologist and Storyteller Michael Meade

"To be mythically alive; to be growing the soul, and incarnating the spirit fully - is the only thing that satisfies the longings seeded in the garden of the soul from the beginning."

The story written on the walls of the soul is intended to be lived out as the great experiment of each life. The adventure of the self and soul involves spells and blessings; it includes gifts and wounds that reveal where the inner nature of a person insists on becoming known. When lived consciously the struggles in life open pathways to the center of the self where purpose waits to be found and vitality can be renewed. The exact medicines for healing are carried inside the individual, waiting to be revealed though life-changing events that initiate the soul and awaken the deep self within.

Threads of genius and purpose are woven in everyone but only become visible after some struggle occurs and where something creative is attempted. Each initiation of the soul involves some descent into darkness before the deeper self can shine through. The genuine opus of the soul requires that we climb the ladder of wisdom and descend to the depths of love.

In this event we will examine the life lived so far and separate the self's vital story and creative calling from the corpse of the past and the darkness of the present. We will attend to places where the soul carries its initiations and where the deep self tries to awaken us to the sacred path of knowledge and love hidden within our lives.

This event will benefit those doing: dream work, creative work, community building, therapy, mentoring, teaching, healing, spiritual development, ecological and social activism.

About Michael Meade

Michael Meade is one of the greatest depth psychological teachers of our time, and his story telling ability is magical and profound. Mr. Meade has studied myth, anthropology, history of religion, and cross-cultural rituals for over 35 years. His interpretations of ancient myths and symbols are highly relevant to current culture. He has an unusual ability to distill and synthesize these disciplines, tapping into ancestral sources of wisdom, while connecting them to the stories of people today. He is an author, scholar, mythologist and storyteller and founder of a non-profit organization Mosaic Voices.
